Lietuvos valstybės himno autorius V. Kudirka

LTStraipsnyje aptariama Vinco Kudirkos „Tautiška giesmė“ – autorė aiškinasi, koks turi būti kūrinys, kad taptų valstybės himnu, išlaikiusiu daugiau nei šimto metų išbandymą; koks turi būti himno tekstas, kuris tiktų skirtingų epochų Lietuvos žmonėms, išreikštų jų jausmas iš lūkesčius; ir svarbiausia – koks turi būti autorius, kurio sukurtas tekstas, kaip sakramentas vienybės ryšiu apjungtų visus tautiečius. „Tautišką giesmė“ Kudirka sukūrė savo redaguojamo Varpo dešimtmečiui, sudėliojo iš ideologinės to laikraščio programos. Keturios deklaracijos, tarsi plakatai, kurios neprilygsta Maironio kūriniui „Kur bėga Šešupė“, aiškiai pretendavusiam į himną („Pavasario balsuose“ pavadinta „Tautiška daina“). Maironio tekste yra pagal tradiciją (pirminė himno, kaip įšventinto teksto, reikšmė) privalomas kreipimasis į Dievą – bandyta net Kudirkos kūrinį redaguoti, vieną eilutę pakeisti į žodžius „Tegul dirba Dievo naudai“ – tačiau redakcija neprigijo, nes pirmieji himno žodžiai „Lietuva, Tėvyne mūsų“ jau buvo įgiję Absoliuto reikšmę. Už „Tautišką giesmė“ buvo brangiai piliečių sumokėta, himno nueitas kryžiais kelias: įnirtingai tildytas, gniaužtas, žemintas, bandytas išdildyti iš jo autoriaus antkapinio akmens. „Tautiška giesmė“ kupina slaptų kodų, jame – ir tautinio protesto simbolis, ir tautos laisvės išraiška, ir Lietuvos nepriklausomybės vėliava, ir gyvybės kaina. Autorės manymu, visgi svarbiausias veiksnys, užtikrinęs „Tautiškai giesmei“ himno nominaciją, yra pats Kudirkos gyvenimas, jo asmenybė, susiliejusi su tekste iškeltais tautos idealais, amžinosiomis jos dvasios vertybėmis.Reikšminiai žodžiai: Lietuvos valstybės himnas; Eilėraščiai, proginiai; Publicistika; "Varpas"; Valstybinis himnas; Lietuvybė; Tauta.

ENThe article discusses the National Anthem of Lithuania, written by Vincas Kudirka – the author examines the characteristics which a writing must have in order to become a national anthem in existence for a period, longer than one hundred years, the text of the anthem, which would be suitable to people of different epochs of a nation, express their feelings and expectations and, most importantly, the traits of the author, whose text would unite all the fellow countrymen as a sacrament. Kudirka created his “National Anthem” on the occasion of ten years anniversary of his newspaper “Varpas”, the poem was based on the ideological programme of the newspaper. The anthem consists of four declarations, which actually fall short of Maironis’s “Kur bėga Šešupė”, which had also had claims to the status of the National Anthem (it was confirmed as “The National Song” in “Pavasario Balsai”). Maironis’s text, according to the tradition (the first and foremost meaning of the National Anthem as a sacred text) contained the address to God. Actually, there were attempts to edit Kudirka’s text, by changing one line to “Tegul dirba Dievo naudai”, however, the edition did not establish itself, since the first words “Lietuva, Tėvyne mūsų” already achieved the meaning of the Absolute. The citizens paid a high price for their National Anthem: it was fiercely hushed, silenced, humiliated, attempts were made to obliterate its text from its author’s grave memorial. The National Anthem is full of secret codes, it refers to the symbolism of the national protest, expression of the nation’s freedom, the flag of Lithuania’s independence and the price of life. The author states that the most important factor, which made the poem the National Anthem is Kudirka’s life itself, his personality, which merged with the national ideas and eternal spiritual values of the nation, presented in the text.
