Mirštantys ir atgyjantys tapatumo ženklai. Kupiškėnų drabužiai XIX a. - XX a. I pusėje

LTStraipsnyje tyrinėjami kupiškėnų istoriniai XIX–XX a. pirmosios pusės drabužiai, ieškoma jų išskirtinumo ir sąsajų su Europos madomis. Darbe aptariamas tradicijos ir mados persipynimas Kupiškio krašte ypač išryškėjęs kai Nepriklausomoje Lietuvos Respublikoje augo poreikis rūbais išreikšti pagarbą protėvių meninės kūrybos palikimui ir susitapatinimą su lietuvių tauta. Kupiškio moterų drabužiai išgyveno nuolatinius pokyčius, susijusius su mados stilių kaita. Madingus elementus moterys derino prie turimų drabužių, taip sukurdamos originalius rūbus ir prisidėdamos prie tradicinio stiliaus tąsos. Kupiškėnių drabužiai keitėsi su naujomis madomis, kurių paplitimas siejosi su LDK teritorija, plačiu Pabaltijo ruožu, Lietuva, visa ar bent dalimi Aukštaitijos ir etnografine Dzūkija. Drabužių pavadinimai, dažnai išreiškiantys kadaise buvusius politinius, ekonominius ir kitokius ryšius, nesudaro pagrindo kalbėti apie kostiumo dalių identiškumą. Tai tik tolimos analogijos, skirtingais pavidalais pasiekusios mūsų dienas. Tautinio atgimimo laikotarpiu daugelyje tautų rūbas tapo svarbiausia priemone išreikšti savo vietinį ir tautinį tapatumą. Seserų Glemžaičių drabužių kolekcijoje esančias moteriško kostiumo dalių kūrybiškas rekonstrukcijas galima laikyti vienu iš bandymų sukurti kupiškėnišką tautinį kostiumą. Ši kolekcija yra vertingas kultūros istorijos palikimas, leidžiantis prisiliesti prie Kupiškio krašto praeities, ją tyrinėti ir panaudoti geriausius meninius sprendimus naujų kupiškėniškų tapatumų kūrybai.

ENThe article analyses historic apparel of residents of Kupiškis from the 19th century to the first half of the 20th century as well as seeks to define their exceptional features and links with the European fashion. The work discusses the interaction of traditions and fashion in the region of Kupiškis, which especially became prominent when the Independent Republic of Lithuania witnessed the growth of the demand for clothing necessary to honour works of art left by ancestors and the identification with Lithuanian nation. Women apparel of Kupiškis underwent constant changes related to changes in fashion styles. Women combined fashionable elements with clothes they had thus creating original clothes and contributing to the development of the traditional style. The apparel of Kupiškis residents changed with new fashion trends, the dissemination of which was related to the territory of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania along the Baltic strip, Lithuania, the whole or at least a part of Aukštaitija and the ethnographic Dzūkija. Names of clothing articles, which usually reflected former political, economic or their relations, do not provide any reason for speaking about the identity of costume parts. These are only remote analogues reaching the present times in various forms. During the period of the national revival, apparel became the major measure to express one’s local or national identity. Creative reconstructions of women’s costumes of the collection by the sisters Glemžaitės can be considered as one of the efforts to create a national costume of Kupiškis. This collection is a valuable historic heritage allowing to see the past of the region of Kupiškis, to analyse it and use the best artistic solutions for the creation of new Kupiškis identities.
