Беларускi Студэнцкi Саюз пры унiверсiтэце Сцяпана Батуры

LTTarpukario Lietuvoje Stepono Batoro universitete mokėsi nemažai baltarusių. 1920 m. gruodį jie įkūrė būrelį, nuo 1921 m. pavadintą Baltarusių studentų sąjunga. Sąjungos programoje siekiama konsoliduoti baltarusių studentus, skatinti jų savišvietą, ugdyti nacionalinį valstiečių sąmoningumą. Nors ir galėjo priklausyti įvairioms politinėms partijoms, sąjungos nariai privalėjo laikytis baltarusiškos nacionalinės pozicijos. [...] Sąjungos nariai organizavo žurnalo „Naš šliah“ leidimą, bet lenkų valdžia greitai jį uždraudė. Netrukus, 1924 m. gruodį, žurnalas „Studenskaja dumka“ Pratęsė „Naš šliah“ pradėtą darbą ir veikė iki tol, kol sąjunga buvo likviduota. Daug dėmesio sąjungos nariai skyrė propagandinei ir švietėjiškai veiklai, kuria buvo siekiama ugdyti vietinių gyventojų nacionalinį sąmoningumą. 1937 m. Baltarusių studentų sąjunga paskelbė specialų įsakymą, pagal kurį kiekvienas sąjungos narys per vasaros atostogas privalėjo perskaityti bent vieną referatą vietos gyventojams apie baltarusių istoriją ar kultūrą. [...] Sąjunga daug prisidėjo, kad būtų atnaujinta Baltarusių mokyklos draugijos veikla. 1931 m. įkurta baltarusių studentų mokslinė organizacija, kuri vykdė platų švietėjišką darbą. Jos gretose daugiausia buvo studentų ir dėstytojų, kurie domėjosi baltarusistikos problemomis. [...] 1934 m. draugija įsteigė etnografijos, literatūros, istorijos, ekonomikos, kalbos sekcijas. Vilniaus Stepono Batoro universitete veikusios baltarusių studentų organizacijos sugebėjo organizuoti [...] plačią kultūrinę ir švietėjišką veiklą, nukreiptą prieš lenkų valdžios asimiliavimo politiką.

ENA large number of Belarusians studied at Stephen Bathory University in interwar Lithuania. They formed a circle in December 1920. In 1921, it was called a Union of Belarusian Students. The Union’s programme aimed to consolidate Belarusian students, to encourage their self-education and to foster national awareness of peasants. Although members of the Union could belong to various political parties, they were obliged to adopt a Belarusian national position. Members of the Union organised the publication of the magazine “Nash Shliah”, but Polish authorities soon banned it. Shortly, in December 1924, the magazine “Studenskaja Dumka” continued the work launched by “Nash Shliah” and came out until the liquidation of the Union. Members of the Union focused heavily on propaganda and educational activities aimed at fostering national awareness of local population. In 1937, the Union of Belarusian Students issued a special order, by which each member of the Union had to deliver at least one report on the history or culture of Belarus to local residents during summer holidays. The Union greatly contributed to the renewal of activities of the Belarusian School Association. In 1931, a scientific organisation of Belarusian students was established. It was involved in wide educational activities. Mostly students and university teachers who were interested in problems of Belarusian philology were members of this organisation. In 1934, the association set up sections of ethnography, literature, history, economics and language. Organisations of Belarusian students which operated at Stephen Bathory University in Vilnius managed to organise wide cultural and educational activities against the assimilation politics of Polish authorities.
