Turizmo rodikliai ir plėtros tendencijos
LTLietuvoje turizmas įgauna vis didesnį pagreitį. Per pastarąjį dešimtmetį turizmo sektoriaus veikla išaugo maždaug 25 proc. 2006 metais turistų skaičiaus didėjimą lėmė populiarūs sporto ir kultūros renginiai. Manoma, jog ir Lietuvą palietusios augančios kuro kainos neatbaidė keliautojų. Pateikdami 2006 metų tarptautinio turizmo rezultatus, galime tik patvirtinti, jog turizmas neapleidžia tvirtų pozicijų. Pasaulio turizmo organizacijos (PTO) duomenimis, 2006 metais išaugo kelionių skaičius: 842 mln. tarptautinių turistų atvykimų, arba 36 mln. turistų atvykimų daugiau, palyginti su 2005 metais. 2006 metais tarptautiniai turistų atvykimai (kelionės) išaugo 4,5 proc. Iš Europos regiono sparčiais turistų augimo tempais išsiskyrė ir Baltijos šalys. Nuo 1995 metų, PTO skaičiavimais, Lietuvoje turistų skaičius išaugo net 208 proc. Augant turistų skaičiui, didėjo ir pajamos, gaunamos iš atvykstamojo turizmo. Šie skaičiai džiugina ir meta naujų iššūkių turizmui. 2006 ir 2007 metai Lietuvoje – didelių turizmo užmojų metai. Baigta vykdyti trečioji Nacionalinė turizmo plėtros programa 2003–2006 metams, suformuota kurortų plėtros teisinė bazė, pradėti rengti Nacionalinių autoturizmo trasų ir Nacionalinių vandens turizmo trasų specialieji planai. Lietuvos banko duomenimis, 2006 metais Lietuvos atvykstamojo turizmo pajamos buvo beveik 2,84 mlrd. Lt, arba 11 proc. daugiau nei 2005 metais. PTO prognozuoja turizmo sektoriaus augimą ir 2007 metais. Pagal Turizmo departamento prognozes, 2010 metais Lietuvoje turėtų apsilankyti 2,86 mln. užsienio turistų.
ENIn Lithuania, tourism is gradually increasing. Over the last decade tourism sector activities have increased by approximately 25%. In 2006, the increase in the amounts of tourists was determined by popular sports and culture events. It is presumed that the growth in fuel prices Lithuania faced did not scare tourists off. The results of international tourism of 2006 only confirm the fact that the positions of tourism remain firm. Pursuant to the data of the World Tourism Organisation (WTO), in 2006, the number of trips increased: 842 million international tourist arrivals or 36 million tourist arrivals more if compared to 2005. In 2006, international tourist arrivals (trips) grew by 4.5%. The Baltic States showed a rapid tourist growth among other European states. As calculations of the WTO indicate, since 1995, the number of tourists in Lithuania has grown by 208%. With the number of tourists growing, the revenues derived from the incoming tourism have also been increasing. These numbers are optimistic and at the same time they encourage new challenges. 2006 and 2007 in Lithuania are the years of ambitious tourism goals. These are the years when the 2003–2006 National Tourism Development Programme was accomplished, the legal framework for the development of resorts was developed, the drafting of special plans of the national caravanning routes and national water tourism routs was launched. According to the data of the Bank of Lithuania, the revenues derived from the incoming tourism in Lithuania in 2006 amounted to almost LTL 2.84 billion or 11% more than in 2005. The WTO forecasts the growth of the sector in 2007 as well. According to the forecasts of the Tourism Department, the number of foreign tourists visiting Lithuania in 2010 should reach 2.86 million.
