Die Geistlichkeit der Kurischen Nehrung hinsichtlich ihres lituanistischen Kulturwirkens im 16.-20. Jahrhundert
LTKai Kuršių Nerija buvo Vokiečių ordino užkariauta XIII a., jos gyventojai krikštyti, bet apie religinį Nerijos gyventojų gyvenimą žinome mažai. Daugiau duomenų iš dvasinio gyvenimo sferos mus pasiekė įsiplieskus Reformacijai XVI a. Bet ir tuomet Kuršių Nerijos gyventojus buvo sunkiau pasiekti, negu kitas Prūsijos vietoves. Pirmasis tikras šaltinis, liudintis religinį gyvenimą Kuršių Nerijoje, yra vyskupo Mörlino 1569 m. vizitacijos ataskaita. Jame rašyta, kad bent jau kai kuriose vietovėse parapijiečiai kunigą išvysdavo tik kas septintą sekmadienį. Šiame tyrime apie kunigų darbą Kuršių Nerijoje rašoma remiamantis Berlyno centriniame evangelikų [bažnyčios] archyve (Evangelischen Zentralarchiv) rastomis parapinėmis knygomis. Apibendrinant evangelikų bažnyčios trijų šimtmečių veiklą Kuršių Nerijoje, konstatuotina, kad evangelikai kunigai Nerijoje paliko gilų pėdsaką. Jų darbo rezultats - išugdytas rimtas ir gilus vietos žvejų religinis jausmas. Reformacija nusipelnė ir krašto lietuvybės išlaikymui, vietos gyventojų gimtosios kalbos išsaugojimui.
ENKnowledge about religious life in the Curonian Spit of the 13th c., when it was conquered by the Teutonic Order and christened, is poor. More information from the sphere of spiritual life reached us from the time of Reformation, i.e. the 16th c. But even then, the population of the Curonian Spit was more difficult to reach than other areas of Prussia. The first real source about religious life in the Curonian Spit was a visitation report of bishop Morlin in 1569. It wrote that, parishioners of some places saw the priest at least every seventh Sunday. In this study, the theological work of priests in the Curonian Spit is described on the basis of parish books found in central Berlin Evangelic [Church] Archive (Evangelischen Zentralarchiv). Summarizing three centuries’ activities of the Evangelic Church in the Curonian Spit, we should note that evangelic priest left a deep footmark in this region. The result of their activities is represented by strong religious feeling of local fishermen. The Reformation was important to the preservation of Lithuanity and native language of local people too.
