LTStraipsnyje pasirinkta tyrinėti keletas reikšmingesnių Kauno meno mokyklos išugdytų autorių, puoselėjusių sienų tapybą. Čia gvildenami probleminiai šiuolaikinio Lietuvos sienų tapybos restauravimo klausimai. Vertinant Liudo Truikio, Adolfo Valeškos ar Petro Kalpoko meninio palikimo tvarkybą, tarsi užduodamas klausimas, ar pakankamos mūsų visų pastangos, siekiant šiuos didelės meninės vertės (ir ne ką menkesnės istorinės reikšmės) kūrinius išsaugoti ateičiai.
