Tautinio identiteto transformacija ir jos genezė Igno Jurkūno Šeiniaus švediškojoje kūryboje

LTIgnas Jurkūnas Šeinius - XX a. pirmosios pusės dviejų kultūrų - lietuvių ir švedų - atstovas. Šeiniaus švediškosios literatūros palikimas gausesnis už lietuviškąjį. Tačiau švediškąja kūryba buvo tarsi siekiama "įrodyti" aukštų civilizacijos standartų švedų visuomenei, jog novatoriškos idėjos ir jų raiška - natūralus, savalaikis estetinės saviraiškos reiškinys lietuvių kultūroje. Straipsnyje keliamos dvi problemos. Pirma, kaip Šeiniaus švediškojoje kūryboje pristatomas senasis lietuvių kultūrinis bei mentaliteto paveldas. Antra, kokia paties autoriaus savivoka akistatoje su svetima, tapusia neva sava, švedų kultūra? Lygindami Šeiniaus lietuvių ir švedų kalba rašytus kūrinius, nesunkiai pastebime dviejų kultūrų sąryšį. Tautinės suvokties samplaikos ir įtakos pasižymi keliais aspektais kultūrų ir žanrų sklaidoje. Straipsnyje tautinio identiteto genezė analizuojama remiantis iškiliausiais Šeiniaus švedų kalba rašytais kūriniais: romanu "Stebuklo belaukiant", eilėraščiais proza.

ENIgnas Jurkūnas Šeinius is a representative oftwo cultures - Lithuanian and Swedish - of the first half ofthe20th Century. Šeinius published more in the Swedish language than he had created in Lithuanian. But the Swedish works of Šeinius in their profoundness were as if orientated to "prove" the highly civilized Swedish society that the innovative ideas and their expression were accepted as a natural, timely phenomena of aesthetics and self-expression in the Lithuanian culture. The article deals with two problems. First, how is the old Lithuanian cultural and mentality heritage realized by the artistic word in Šeinius' certain works written in Swedish? Second, what is the selfawareness of the author while facing a Strange, but sort of newly acquired, as if own, culture? lt is easy to notice the blend of cultures when the Lithuanian literary works are confronted! with the Swedish ones. The connections and influences between these cultures are of several kinds. They are noticeable between the two cultures in general and several literary genres in part. The nature of intercultural contacts is rooted in one culture's influence onto another. The worth mentioning examples are the novel Waiting for the Miracle and the poem in prose The Night and the Sun. In the novels that were written in Swedish the motives of Lithuanian prose can be easily identified. Lithuanian lyrical intonations, the problems of existence and the motives of Lithuanian poetry can also be observed in Swedish poems.
