LTŠio straipsnio tikslas - apžvelgti J. Vienožinskio studijų laikotarpį Krokuvos dailės akademijoje, plačiau paanalizuoti jį supusią labai nevienalytę meninę aplinką, dominavusių estetinių nuostatų įvairovę, kurios, be jokios abejonės, turėjo jam įtakos, pabandyti išsiaiškinti, kas buvo perimta ir ko sąmoningai atsisakyta.

ENThe studies of artist Justinas Vienožinskis (1886 -1960) at Cracow Academy of Fine Arts coincide with the consolidation of art in the Polish culture. The cultural and artistic animation had a great influense on the art renovation. The animation was induced by a very close connections between the European countries. The new phylosophic and artistic ideas,which emphasized the direct artist’s dependence upon the period of soul, which has raised the artistic creation as the most perfect form of the human being existance’s expression. In the period of J. Vienožinskis’ studies Cracow Academy of Fine Arts became the centre of modern art’s cherish. At Academy worked young, creative painters, who went to Paris for practice, who destroyed common not adequite to the time forms of artistic value and old-fashioned criteria of estimating. J. Vienožinskis’ teachers underlining the quality of art creation’s plastic form, emphasized the independent artistic value of painting, the authonomy of colour and importance of its value. The teachers formed to the students qualified new artistic creation’s apprehension without representation of method of academic realism.J. Vienožinskis got at Cracow Academy of Fine Arts an exellent intelligence. Studing at individual style,exacting, far- sighted and cherishing a progressive art traditions professors he obtained the sound skills of drawing, painting technology, colouring and backgrounds of colour culture. The teachers noticed his inborn talent and his distinctive attitude, induced his individual artistic expression, together developed his responsible point of view to the choised profession, made good conditions to visit and work at various European art museums. J. Vienožinskis obtained a great erudition listening to the lectures of famous teachers, a large cultural keeness of wit. He was the main art critic in Independent Lithuania, one of the leading art ideologists, who turned the 20th c. Lithuanian art to progressive expression of art quality. J.Vienožinskis graduated from Cracow Academy of Fine Arts ready for painter’s profession - even in his study time created works we see the authentic artistic features of expression, which deserved to him the name of modern art initiator of the 20th century.
