LTStraipsnyje pristatoma vieno iš seniausių išlikusių romantinių baletų – prancūzų kompozitoriaus Adolphe’o Adamo „Žizel“ istorinė pastatymų apžvalga. Aptariamos pirmojo „Žizel“ pastatymo 1841 m. Paryžiaus operoje, kurį sukūrė choreografas Jules’is Perrot, dramaturginės, choreografinės ir scenografijos charakteristikos. Apžvelgiami vėlesni šio baleto pastatymai ir transformacijos XIX ir XX amžiuje. Atskirai aptariami „Žizel“ pastatymai Lietuvos baleto scenoje, kuriuos kūrė Nikolajus Zvercevas (1931), Bronius Kelbauskas (1937 ir 1940), Vytautas Grivickas (1956 ir 1970), Eugenijos Bukaitis (1975) bei Olegas Vinogradovas (1985). Taip pat naginėjama ir „Žizel“ parafrazė – rusų choreografo Boriso Eifmano baletas „Raudonoji Žizel“, sukurtas sujungus savotišką „Žizel“ siužeto interpretaciją ir garsios rusų balerinos Olgos Spesivcevos biografiją, kuris Lietuvos nacionalinio operos ir baleto teatro scenoje buvo pastatytas 2002 metais.Reikšminiai žodžiai: Baletas.

ENThe article presents an overview of the historical development of one of the oldest surviving Romantic ballets – Giselle – by the French composer Adolphe Adam. The author discusses drama directing, choreographic, and stage directing features of the first staging of the ballet in Paris in 1841 as well as their transformations in subsequent early XIX c. and XX c. productions. The author separately discusses stagings of Giselle on the Lithuanian ballet stage, created by Nikolajus Zvercevas (1931), Bronius Kelbauskas (1937 and 1940), Vytautas Grivickas (1956 and 1970), Eugenijos Bukaitis (1975) and Olegas Vinogradovas (1985). The article also examines paraphrasing of Giselle: ballet by Russian choreographer Boris Eifman “The Red Giselle” (Raudonoji Žizel), which was born by fusing a personal interpretation of Giselle’s plot and the biography of famous Russian ballet dancer Olga Spesivceva; the ballet was premiered on the stage of the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theater in 2002.
