Początki i sytuacja prasy w Europie i w Rzeczypospolitej obojga narodów

LTStraipsnyje apžvelgiama laikraščių atsiradimo Europoje istorija bei aplinkybės, aptariama periodinės spaudos pradžia Lietuvos Didžiojoje Kunigaikštystėje. Trumpai pristatomi populiariausi to laikotarpio Vakarų Europos laikraščiai, tokie kaip Gazette d’ Amsterdam, Gazette d’ Utrecht, Courier du Bas – Rhin ir kiti, parodomi jų ryšiai su kai kuriais periodiniais leidiniais, XVIII amžiuje pradėjusiais eiti Lietuvos Didžiojoje Kunigaikštystėje. XVIII a. LDK pasirodė penki pavadinimų spaudiniai (šeštas spausdintas ypatingomis progomis): Kurier Litewski (1760-1763); Supplement do Gazet Wileńskich (1761 01 10 -1792); Wiadomości Uprzywilejowane (Wiadomości Cudzoziemskie; 1760 – 1764); Gazety Wileńskie (1764 – 1792 (1793?), 52 numeriai); specialus priedas prie laikraščių – Addytament do Gazet Wileńskich (spausdintas nereguliariai). Lietuvos laikraščiai pernelyg nenukrypo nuo XVIII a. Europos informacinių laikraščių, spausdinamų tautinėmis kalbomis, modelio. Jie pateikdavo naujausią informaciją iš Europos ir netgi iš tolimesnių žemynų. XVIII a. Europoje formavosi modernesnės visuomenės formos, kūrėsi naujos civilizacijos komunikabilesnės pagrindai. Laikraščiai parodo, jog Lietuvos ir viso Vidurio ir Rytų Europos regiono gyventojai nebuvo atsiriboję nuo bendrų visai Europai kultūros raidos procesų. Laikraščiai atliko svarbų vaidmenį formuojant LDK visuomenės mentalitetą skleidžiant naujas pažiūras ir idėjas. ENThe article examines history and circumstances surrounding the appearance of newspapers in Europe; the author discusses the beginnings of periodical press in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania (GDL). The article introduces briefly the most popular Western European newspapers of that time, among them: Gazette d’ Amsterdam, Gazette d’ Utrecht, Courier du Bas – Rhin and others; the author points out connections between these newspapers and certain periodical publications that appeared in the 18th century in the GDL. In the 18th century, there appeared five titles (the sixth one was published under special conditions): Kurier Litewski (1760-1763); Supplement do Gazet Wileńskich (1761 01 10 -1792); Wiadomości Uprzywilejowane (Wiadomości Cudzoziemskie; 1760 – 1764); Gazety Wileńskie (1764 – 1792 (1793?), 52 volumes); a special newspaper– Addytament do Gazet Wileńskich (published irregularly). Lithuanian newspapers did not stray too much from the model of European informational newspapers of the 18th century, published in national languages. They presented the newest information from Europe and even from further continents. In the 18th century, in Europe, more modern social forms were taking root; the foundations of a new, more communicative civilization were being laid down. Newspapers show that inhabitants of Lithuania and the entire Eastern and Central European region were not isolated from general evolutionary trends taking place in European culture. Newspapers performed an important role in shaping the mentality of GDL society, promoting new attitudes and ideas.
