Dar kartą apie tautinius drabužius

LTTautinis kostiumas yra svarbus tautos reprezentacijos simbolis. Tautiniai drabužiai yra kuriami tradicinių drabužių pavyzdžiu, kuriuos kūrė ne pavieniai asmenys, bet per šimtmečius visa tauta. Todėl tautiniai drabužiai paprastai atkuriami iš tos medžiagos, kurios surinkta daugiausia, ir to laikotarpio, kuris arčiausiai nacijos formavimosi. Lietuviai tautinio kostiumo pagrindu ėmė vidutinių ir pasiturinčių valstiečių XIX a. šventadieninius drabužius. 1968 m. prie Lietuvos kultūros ministerijos buvo įkurta Respublikinė tautinio kostiumo meno taryba, kuri reglamentavo dailininkų sukurtus tautinių kostiumų eskizus. Joje lemiamą žodį tardavo drabužius išmanantys etnografai, muziejininkai, kurie reikalaudavo iš dailininkų, kuriančių eskizus, tiksliai atskleisti vienos ar kitos etnografinės srities būdingiausias savybes. Eskizų kūrėjai būdavo įpareigojami prižiūrėti drabužių gamintojų darbą. Deja, galutinio rezultato, t.y. išaustų ir pasiūtų tautinių drabužių, komisija nematydavo. Valstybei perėjus į naujo gyvenimo vėžes, tautinio kostiumo kūrimo procesas tapo visai nebekontroliuojamas. Daug pavienių audėjų ir kolektyvinių tautinių rūbų gamintojų audžia kaip išmano, savaip interpretuodami paskelbtas žinias ir muziejinę medžiagą. Tačiau kalbant apie tautinį drabužį, netinka posakis "dėl skonio nesiginčijama". Privalu gerai išstudijuoti autentišką medžiagą, sukaupta muziejuose, rankraštynuose, ir ja vadovautis, studijuoti senąją literatūrą ir kurti kostiumus, atitinkančius istorinę tiesą. ENThe national costume is an important symbol of representation of the nation. National clothes are created following the example of traditional clothing, created not by individual persons, but by the entire nation throughout centuries therefore national clothes are usually restored from the materials, which had been most plentifully collected and from the time period, closest to the formation of the nation. The Lithuanians took the festal clothes of substantial and wealthy peasants of the 19th century as the basis for the national costume. The Republican National Costume Artistic Council was founded under the Ministry of Culture of Lithuania in 1968. The council regulated the designs of the national costumes, created by artists. The deciding word was said by ethnographers and museum keepers, who had the knowledge of the clothes and who required the designers to accurately reveal the traits, most characteristic of one or another ethnographic area. The designers were obliged to supervise the dressmakers’ work. Unfortunately the commission did not see the final result, i. e. the already made clothes. After the state transited to another way of life, the process of creation of national costume became completely uncontrollable. A lot of individual dressmakers and their collectives made the clothes by interpreting the published information and the museums’ materials at their own discretion. However the saying “tastes differ” is not suitable when talking of national clothes. The designer must thoroughly study the authentic materials, stored in museums and provided by manuscripts, follow them it and create costumes, corresponding to the historical truth. The article gets the reader familiarized with the heritage of traditional clothing, stored in Lithuanian museums’ collections.
