Tautinė individualybė ir lietuvių meno raidos gairės (1918–1940)

LTXX a. pradžioje suaktyvėjus kultūriniam gyvenimui daugelis jo dalyvių kėlė nacionalinės kultūros sukūrimo klausimą. Meno tautinio savitumo svarstymai buvo išsibarstę literatūros ir dailės kritikoje, filosofuojančioje eseistikoje. Straipsnyje nagrinėjamos svarų indėlį į kalbamąją problematiką įnešusių Stasio Šalkauskio, Julijono Lindės-Dobilo ir Antano Maceinos pažiūros, siekiant atskleisti tautiškumo traktuotės poveikį lietuvių meno pasiekimų vertinimui bei jo raidos orientavimui. Etnokultūrine nacijos teorija grindžiama tautinės kultūros samprata S. Šalkauskio darbuose tapo konceptualia nacionalinės kultūros programa. Joje formuluojamas profesionalios kultūros kūrimo remiantis liaudies kultūra, kaip tautos pasaulėjautos reiškėja, uždavinys, kurio sėkmingo įgyvendinimo sąlyga laikomas liaudies kūrybos formų pritaikymas visuotinai reikšmingam kultūros turiniui. J. Lindė-Dobilas lietuvių meno raidos analizei ir perspektyvoms numatyti pasitelkė Europos kultūros raidos, kaip pagoniškosios ir krikščioniškosios kultūrų sąveikos, modelį. Tuo tarpu A. Maceina kūrė iš esmės naują lietuviškosios kultūros koncepciją, kurioje mūsų kultūros pobūdį siejo ne su Rytų ir Vakarų, bet su nomadinio ir matriarchalinio pradų sąveika, lėmusia pirmapradį jos sintetiškumą.

ENWith the intensification of the cultural life in the beginning of the 20th century, most of its participants raised the issue of development of the national culture. The discussions of the national peculiarity of art were disseminated in the literary and art criticism and in philosophizing aesthetics. The article examines the worldviews of Stasys Šalkauskis, Julijonas Lindė-Dobilas and Antanas Maceina, who made significant contributions into the activities for the purpose of revealing the influence of treatment of nationality on the evaluation of Lithuanian art achievements and orientation of its development. The ethnic cultural theory of the nation, based by the concept of the national culture in S. Šalkauskis’s studies became a conceptual programme of the national culture, formulating the task of development of professional culture referring to the folk culture, as an agent, expressing the national worldview, a condition for successful implementation of which is the application of folk creative forms to the universally significant content of culture. J. Lindė-Dobilas, for the purpose of analyzing the development of Lithuanian art and foreseeing the prospects, employed the model of development of the European culture as an interrelation between the Pagan and Christian cultures while A. Maceina developed an essentially new concept of the Lithuanian culture, in which he related the nature of our culture not with the Eastern or Western culture, but rather with the interrelation between the nomadic and matriarchal springs, which determined its primordial synthetic.
