Buvę jėzuitai mokytojai Kaune XVIII a. pabaigoje: iššūkis socialiniam identitetui

LTStraipsnyje aptariama Kauno buvusių jėzuitų mokytojų bendruomenė XVIII a. pabaigoje. Tyrimo problematika koncentruojama ties socialiniais iššūkiais, kilusiais jėzuitų bendruomenei po jų ordino panaikinimo. Svarstoma, kokiais būdais buvo stengiamasi išlaikyti senąją buvusių jėzuitų bendruomenę Kaune, kaip reaguota į edukacines naujoves ir naujųjų pedagogų atėjimą. 1777-1793 m. Kauno prorektorių ir mokytojų laiškai Vyriausiosios mokyklos rektoriui M.Počobutui rodo, kad po 1773 m. buvusių jėzuitų socialinė padėtis ir būsena buvo nevienoda. Viena vertus, buvusius vienuolius gelbėjo ano meto aplinkybės - geresnių, labiau patyrusių mokytojų už juos nebuvo. Be to, nepaisant socialinio mobilumo atvejų, buvę jėzuitai išlaikė senus ryšius ir buvusios bendruomenės identitetą, kartkartėmis, tiesa, jau patirianti naujai besiformuojančios akademinės (mokytojų) bendruomenės bruožus. Kita vertus, augo nauja dvasininkų pasauliečių ir apskritai pasauliečių karta, kuri pamažu keitė senuosius kadrus, šiems palikdama skurdžią vienatvę (pensijos buvo mažos) ir liūdnus prisiminimus.

ENAn article deals with the former Jesuits community in Kaunas at the end of the 18th century. The main topic is the social challenge that appears with the dissolution of Jesuit Institution: how former Jesuits in Kaunas are trying to maintain their community and what is their reaction towards educational innovations and the arrival of new (sometimes not clergymen) teachers. Reading letters of Kaunas' teachers to the rector of the Supreme School (former Vilnius' University) M.Počobutas we can realize that the social state and moods of the former Jesuits in Kaunas were ambivalent. On the one side, former Jesuits were saved by that factor that there were no better teachers than Jesuits at that time. Thus they were able to keep former links and the identity of old community, which, however, sometimes began to converge with the identity of newly formed academical community. On the other hand, the new generation of clergy and what is more important - of laity was growing up, gradually changing the old staff and leaving the latter in the poor loneliness (pensions were low).
