Slaviškoji baltų kalbų kilmė ir vienas baltų-slavų mitologijos fragmentas M.J. Thunmann'o veikale Untersuchungen über die alte Geschichte einiger nordischen Völker (1772)

LTStraipsnyje yra analizuojama slaviškoji baltų kalbų kilmė ir vienas baltų - slavų mitologijos fragmentas M. J. Thunmann‘o veikale "Senosios kai kurių Šiaurės tautų istorijos tyrinėjimai" (Untersuchungen über die alte Geschichte einiger nordischen Völker (1772). Šiame veikale yra pateikiama baltiškų mitologinių duomenų, tačiau jie pristatomi kaip slaviški. Slavų ir baltų etnogenezės bei kalbos medžiagos M. J. Thunmann‘o tyrimai yra labai netvirti, tačiau šiame straipsnyje nesiimama ieškoti autoriaus mokslinio darbo spragų ir klaidų, o komentuojami tam tikri jo veikalo fragmentai, susiję su Historiographia linguistica ir Mythologia Baltico-Slavica. Lingvistinės istoriografijos klausimai M. J. Thunmann‘o veikale yra nagrinėjami pirmojoje straipsnio dalyje, o keletas mitologinių "baltų - slavų" fragmentų - antrojoje. M. J. Thunmann‘as klaidingai priskiria baltų kalbų grupę slavų kalbų šeimai. Teigdamas, jog slavų kalba pakito jiems iškeliavus ir susimaišius su kitomis labai skirtingomis užsienio tautomis, M. J. Thunmann‘as, nors ir, vartodamas klaidingą lingvistinę terminologiją, priartėja prie modernesnių lingvistinių teorijų. Jo veikale pateiktoje mitologinėje medžiagoje vėlgi klaidingai baltai yra tapatinami su slavais.

ENThe article analyzes the Slavic origins of the Baltic languages and one fragment of the Baltic – Slavic mythology in M. J. Thunmann‘s study "Untersuchungen über die alte Geschichte einiger nordischen Völker” (1772). The study provides Baltic mythological data however they are presented as Slavic ones. M. J. Thunmann’s studies of the Slavic and Baltic ethnic genesis and language materials are far from strong however the article does not attempt to search for mistakes and errors in the author’s research, but rather provides comments of certain fragments of the study, related to the Historiographia Linguistica and the Mythologia Baltico-Slavica. The issues of linguistic historiography in M. J. Thunmann‘s study are examined in the first part of the article and several mythological “Baltic – Slavic” fragments – in the second part. M. J. Thunmann erroneously attributes the group of the Baltic languages to the Slavic languages family. By stating that the Slavic language underwent changes after Slavs‘ movement and assimilation with other very different foreign nations, M. J. Thunmann, although using an erroneous linguistic terminology, approaches more modern linguistic theories. In the mythological materials, provided in his study the Balts are erroneously identified with Slavs.
