Lithuanian psychological association: 50 years of development
LTStraipsnyje atskleidžiamas vienas psichologijos plėtros Lietuvoje aspektų - psichologų jungimasis į profesines organizacijas. Autoriai išskiria ir aprašo keletą psichologų organizacijų raidos periodų: ikiorganizacinį, Lietuvos psichotechnikos ir profesinės orientacijos draugijos (LPPOD, 1931-1940), sumaišties (1940-1958 m.), Lietuvos psichologų draugijos (1958-1988), Lietuvos psichologų sąjungos įkūrimo ir tapsmo (1988-1991), LPS krizės periodą 1991-1995 m. ir Lietuvos psichologų sąjungos atgimimo1995-2008 m. periodą. 1931 m. įkurtos LPPOD veiklą nutraukė prasidėjęs Antras pasaulinis karas ir sovietų okupacija, ir tik 1958 m. buvo įkurta Lietuvos psichologų draugija, veikusi 30 metų. Šiam laikotarpiui būdinga žymi psichologijos plėtra Lietuvoje, o psichologų judėjimas pradėjo realizuoti svarbiausius savo raidos profesionalius aspektus: tyrimus, mokymą, profesinę komunikaciją ir savireguliaciją. 1988-1991 m. pradėjo formuotis nepriklausoma organizacija - Lietuvos psichologų sąjunga. Pirmaisiais metais LPS labai išsiplėtė (narių skaičius išaugo iki 410), tačiau entuziazmas po Nepriklausomybės atgavimo greitai išsisklaidė, ir 1991-1995 m. LPS veikla praktiškai nutrūko. 1995-2008 metus galima laikyti Lietuvos psichologų sąjungos atgimimu: LPS greitai integravosi į Europos ir pasaulio psichologų bendruomenę ir tapo kelių tarptautinių organizacijų tikrąja nare, buvo parengti svarbūs dokumentai, kelios psichologų kvalifikacijos kėlimo programos, organizuotos tarptautinės konferencijos, pradėtas rengti psichologo praktinės veiklos įstatymo projektas ir kt.
ENThe article reveals one of the aspects of development of psychology in Lithuania – joining of psychologists into professional organizations. The authors distinguish and describe several periods of development of psychologists’ organizations: pre-organizational, Lithuanian Psychotechnics and Professional Orientation Association (1931-1940), the confusion (1940-1958), Lithuanian Psychologists Association (1958-1988), formation and development of Lithuanian Psychological Association (1988-1991), its crisis in 1991-1995 and resurrection in 1995-2008. The activities of Lithuanian Psychotechnics and Professional Orientation Association, founded in 1931 were terminated by the WWII and Soviet occupation. Only in 1958 Lithuanian Psychologists Association, which functioned for 30 years, was founded. The period characterized by significant development of psychology in Lithuania and the psychologists’ movement helped to implement the most important professional aspects: studies, education, professional communication and self-regulation. In 1988-1991 an independent organization – Lithuanian Psychological Association commenced its formation. In the first years of its existence the organization was expanding (the number of members grew up to 410) However, after the reinstatement of the Independence the enthusiasm reduced and in 1991-1995 the Association in fact terminated its activities. 1995-2008 can be considered the period or resurrection of Lithuanian Psychological Association: it integrated into European and global psychologists’ communities and became a member of several international organizations, important documents and several qualification development programmes were prepared, international conferences organized, the draft law on psychologists’ practical activities was commenced to be prepared, etc.
