Jausmai Žemaitės apsakymuose

LTStraipsnyje Žemaitės apsakymai perskaitomi nauju aspektu: jausmai, kuriantys naujus (kitokius), moralaus elgesio sutvirtinamus žmonių tarpusavio santykius, tampa viena iš Žemaitės kūrybos pasaulėvaizdžio ašių. Teigiama, kad Žemaitė į savo kūrinius įaudžia naują pasaulio komponentą  – jausmus, kurie yra vienas svarbiausių autorės pasaulio atramos taškų, grindžiančių  / keičiančių žmonių tarpusavio santykius. ENThe end of the 19th century is a very important period when private life was opened to a comprehensive investigation by women writers. One of the most famous writers of the time is Žemaitė whose oeuvre are considered to be mirrors of the real world. This article proposes the idea that feelings like sympathy, sensibility, fellowship are the basis on which the world of Žemaitė’s stories was constructed. Feelings are interpreted as a constituting principle of moral attitude towards others. Women’s life, limited by private home life, was mostly determined by successful or unsuccessful marriage. Žemaitė’s stories focus on motives for marriage: to choose the marriage of convenience or to marry for love. Žemaitė proposed the latter as a better way consistent with the order of the world.
