LTRömeriai - viena iš nedaugelio garsių Lietuvos didikų ir bajorų giminių, palikusi itin ryškų pėdsaką Lietuvos visuomeniniame ir kultūriniame gyvenime. Pirmieji šios iš Vokietijos kilusios giminės nariai į Lietuvą atsikraustė XVII a. pradžioje iš buvusios Livonijos teritorijos. Istorinės aplinkybės lėmė, kad Romerių veikia nei Lietuvoje, nei jiems artimoje Lenkijoje, nei tuo labiau užsienyje dar niekad nebuvo aptarta, kompleksiškai neįvardyta ir giminės svarba Lietuvos visuomenės ir kultūros istorijai. Autorė trumpai pristato Römerių giminę leidinyje, kurį iniciavo Römerių giminės tyrėjų kolektyvas, nurodo, kad knygoje skelbiamuose straipsniuose aptariami giminės archyvai, dvarai, pristatomi žymiausieji jos atstovai ir specifinės jų veiklos sritys.

ENThe Römeris family is among the few well-known Lithuanian noble families, which left an especially prominent trace in the social and cultural life of Lithuania. The first members of the said family, which has its origins in Germany, came to Lithuania in the beginning of the 17th century from the former territory of Livonia. The historical circumstances resulted in the situation that the activities of the Römeris family in Lithuania, in Poland and in other countries have never been discussed, and the importance of the said family to the history of the society and culture of Lithuania has not been defined in a complex way. The author briefly presents the Römeris family in the publication, initiated by the group of researchers of the Römeris family and states that the articles, presented in the book discuss the archives and manors of the family, present the most well-known of its members and the specific areas of their activities.
