XVII a. Vilniaus emblemų sodais, takais, labirintais

LTRecenzijoje apžvelgiama Jolitos Liškevičienės knyga "Mundus emblematum: XVII amžiaus Vilniaus spaudinių iliustracijos (Vilnius: Vilniaus dailės akademijos leidykla, 2005) Tai vienas iš Liškevičienės beveik prieš porą dešimtmečių pradėtų ir iki šiol tęsiamų darbų tiriant teksto ir vaizdo jungtį senuosiuose LDK spaudiniuose. Recenzento teigimu, Liškevičienės tyrimai skaitytojus įveda į barokinės emblemos pasaulį -- žanrą, bene geriausiai ir glausčiausiai įkūnijusį epochos dvasią, koncentruotai perteikiantį jos pasaulėvaizdį, meninį skonį, intelekto ir žinių žaismes. Recenzento nuomone, nuodugniai atliktas darbas su įvadiniais skyriais gerokai išplečia pavadinime suformuluotas temos ribas: su šiuo veikalu skaitytojai gauna ir trumpą įvadą į Renesanso bei Baroko emblematikos reiškinį Europoje ir gretimoje Lenkijoje, atskleidžiamos emblemos susidarymo, išpopuliarėjimo priežastys, raida, aptarti kertiniai barokinės Europos veikalai, kuriuose slypi daugelio Lietuvos spaudinių emblemikos prototipai. Recenzijoje iškeliama ir tam tikrų diskusinių klausimų dėl "miles Christianus" įvaizdžio traktavimo. Kalbant apie šv. Kazimierą pateikiama savų teiginių, kurie neatitinka knygoje daromų išvadų. Recenzentas turi priekaištų dėl vertimo netikslumų, neatskleistų dalykų, originalo transkripcijos, terminologijos ir formuluočių. Jo manymu, aptariamajam leidiniui kai kur akivaizdžiai pritrūko dalyką išmanančio redaktoriaus tekstologinės peržiūros. Apibendrindamas recenzijos autorius pažymi, kad knyga "Mundus emblematum" yra dar vienas ženklas, kokie vaisingi tarpdisciplininiai tyrimai.

ENThe review provides an overview of Jolita Liškevičienė’s book "Mundus Emblematum: 17th Century Vilnius Printing Illustrations (Vilnius: Vilniaus Dailės Akademijos Leidykla, 2005), which is one of the works, started by Liškevičienė almost two decades ago and continued until present in order to examine the connection between text and image in old printings of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. According to the reviewer, Liškevičienė’s studies take the reader into the world of the Baroque emblem, i. e. the genre, best embodying the spirit of the era, by rendering its worldview, artistic taste, intellect and knowledge in a concentrated manner. In the opinion of the reviewer, the comprehensive work on the prodromes significantly extends the limits of subjects, formulated in the title: the study provides its readers a short introduction into the phenomenon of the Renaissance and Baroque emblematics in Europe and in the neighbouring Poland, reveals the reasons for emergence and popularization and development of an emblem, discusses the cornerstone creations of the Baroque Europe, providing the prototypes of emblematics of most Lithuanian printings. The review also raises certain issues for discussion regarding the treatment of the image of "miles Christianus". When discussing St. Casimirus the author of the review presents certain statements, which are not correspondent to the conclusions, made in the book. The reviewer has some remarks regarding inaccuracies in translation, certain unrevealed aspects, transcription of the original, the terminology and formulations. In the opinion of the reviewer, the publication in question lacks a proof-reading by an editor, who is an expert on the subject. When summarizing the author of the review emphasizes that the book "Mundus Emblematum" is another sign of fruitfulness of such interdisciplinary studies.
