Summary / Abstract:

ENThe monograph “Disonansų būtis: Vinco Mykolaičio-Putino Poezijos Interpretacijos“ highlights the philosophical dimension of V. Mykolaitis-Putinas’s lyricism and its ontological aspect. Ontology is the study of being and existence. The abstract concept of being and existence is made specific by dividing it into three parts: the being and existence, surrounding a person, the being and existence of the person and the non-existence. The being and existence, surrounding a person (the lyrical subject in the present case) is discussed in the first and second chapters of the book, the non-existence – in the eight chapter. In the discussion of being and existence of a person (chapters III – VII) those ontological values, which form the basis of existence of a person in Putinas’s lyricism are stated: striving for authenticity of being and existence, inner freedom, will to live a meaningful life, love and creative. All ontological aspects are disseminated through one specific poem, which is chosen for representation. For instance, the relation with the being and existence, surrounding a person (the first and second chapters) is revealed by interpreting the poems “Tarp Dviejų Aušrų“ and “Rūpintojėlis“; the relation with the non-existence – by interpreting the poem “Vasario Pūgoj“, the relation with the will to live – the poem “Įvadas“ (“Viršūnės ir Gelmės“). The exception is the aspect of love – the chapter, dedicated to love does not follow the one poem principle, but discusses the total of Mykolaitis-Putinas’s love lyricism. Ontological phenomena are analyzed not hermetically but by relating the poet’s forages with the wide context of philosophical – aesthetical ideas of the 19th – 20th centuries (which is especially widely revealed in the first and the final chapters), with the Western European and Russian poetry of the period and with the aesthetics of symbolism.
