Suomijos himno vertimas į lietuvių kalbą

LTStraipsnyje atskleidžiama Suomijos himno vertimo į lietuvių kalbą istorija. XIX a. viduryje, kilus tautiniam sąjūdžiui, Suomijos inteligentai vartojo švedų kalbą ir suomių kalbos iš namų aplinkos įvedimas į viešąjį gyvenimą buvo tik svajonė. 1848 m. išėjo J. Runebergo patriotinių baladžių pirmoji dalis "Fänrik Stāls sägner" ("Praporščiko Stolio pasakos"), kurios pradžioje buvo įdėtas romantiškas Suomijai skirtas eilėraštis "Mūsų šalis" ("Vârt land"), parašytas 1846 m. Pirmą kartą eilėraštis kaip daina buvo atlikta Helsinkyje studentų aplinkoje per Floros dieną 1848 m. gegužės 13 d. pagal kitą, kompozitoriaus ir muzikos mokytojo Fredriko Paciuso (Fredrik Pačius,1809--1891) sukurtą melodiją. 1849 m. eilėraštis buvo pirmą kartą išverstas į suomių kalbą ir XX a. pradžioje tapo Suomijos himnu. Suomijos himną į lietuvių kalbą 1898 m. išvertė rašytojas Juozas Šnapštys-Margalis (1877--1921). Straipsnio autoriaus nuomone, galime tik džiaugtis, kad lietuvių tautinio atgimimo metais į lietuvių kalbą išverstas ir lietuvių visuomenei pateiktas suomių tautinio atgimimo metu konsolidavęs Suomijos visuomenę darbams tėvynės labui J. Runeberg'o eilėraštis/daina, žadinęs ir lietuvių patriotinius jausmus. Tačiau vertimas literatūriniu požiūriu vertintinas gana kritiškai. Jis yra smarkiai nutolęs nuo originalo, nes vertėjas pasidavė laisvai turinio interpretacijai. Lietuviškasis tekstas primena poetišką žinovo pasakojimą apie Suomijos gamtą, žmonių gyvenimo būdą bei jų meilę savo kraštui.Todėl J. ENThe article reveals the history of translation of the national anthem of Finland into Lithuanian. In the mid-19th century, upon emergence of the national movement, Finnish intellectuals used the Swedish language and the introduction of the Finnish language from the household environment into the public life could only be a dream. In 1848 the first part of patriotic ballads by J. Runeberg "Fänrik Stāls Sägner" was published, which contained the romantic poem, dedicated to Finland - "Vârt Land" (“Our Land”), written in 1846. For the first time the said poem was performed as a song in Helsinki by students on the occasion of the Flora’s Day on 13 May, 1848 according to the melody, created by composer and music teacher Fredrik Pacius (1809—1891). In 1849 the poem was translated into the Finnish language and, at the beginning of the 20th century, became the national anthem of Finland. The national anthem of Finland was translated into the Lithuanian language in 1898 by writer Juozas Šnapštys-Margalis (1877—1921). In the opinion of the author of the article, one can only rejoice that the poem/song by J. Runeberg, which consolidated the society of Finland for labours for the motherland during the national resurrection of Finland was translated into the Lithuanian language and presented to the Lithuanian society in the years of the national resurrection of Lithuanians and helped to sparkle the patriotic feelings of Lithuanians. However, in literary terms the translation can be evaluated rather critically. It is far from the original, since the translator succumbed to the free interpretation of the content. The Lithuanian text is reminiscent of a poetic narration on the subject of Finland’s nature, the people’s way of life and their love for their land. Therefore J. Margalis’s translation, in the opinion of the author of the article, should be recognized only as a historical fact.
