Kaip pastatyti Moderniojo meno muziejų Vilniuje

ENThe article présents a scheme for major activities and opérations that would make possible to found thé Modem Art Muséum (МАМ) in Vilnius. 1. Structural and légal activities: a new state-financed organization - a modem art muséum (МАМ) - has to be founded for presenting open-to-innovations and purposeful activities of thé new institution - МАМ. 2. Management activities. The basic precondition is thé formation of thé "МАМ Project Group" as well as its active work in thé realization of thé objectives on thé way to thé МАМ. The "МАМ Project Group" should include 6 Professionals. They should work in 3 sub-divisions/ sectors (two Professionals in each): those of Development, Marketing, and Programs. A public organization - thé Board of Trustées, comprised of prominent Lithuanian and foreign art, culture, politics, business and public figures - should also be formed and function from thé start. 3. Financing activities: only thé searching for various funds and their utilization would make it possible to create at least minimal financial conditions for thé MAM to start.With a view to obtaining wider financing possibilities, it is expédient to found thé MAM fund. Its founders are thé MAM, thé Artists' Association, Vilnius Academy of Arts, thé American Lithuanians' Foundation. The function of thé fund shall be accumulation of means for thé foundation of thé MAM and thé promotion of its activities. The results of ail thé activities and opérations: • thé State (Ministry of Culture) at last shows that it can (wants) adopt décisions on thé foundation of thé MAM; • upon thé adoption of appropriate légal décisions on thé reorganization of thé Lithuanian Art Muséum, thé conditions for thé activities of thé MAM shall be purposefully created; • thé model of thé MAM fonctions and activities shall be formed and thé MAM concept shall be implemented and tested; • graduai steps shall lead to an architectural compétition and its results; • thé motivation and responsibility of thé MAM professionals will increasingly grow, they will hâve a clear objective of their work; • art and cultural society at large, politicians will start to more clearly perceive thé necessity and importance of thé MAM.
