Dailės kūrinio pristatymas Lietuvoje XIX a

LTXIX a. dailės parodos Lietuvoje buvo nereguliarios, su didelėmis, kartais kelių dešimtmečių, pertraukomis. Įvairių institucijų surengtos kelios bendros dailės parodos dėl neaiškių priežasčių neturėjo tąsos ir nevirto tradicija. Daugeliu atvejų dailės kūrinių rodymas buvo atsitiktinis, formuojant ekspozicijas nebuvo išankstinės koncepcijos nei atrankos kriterijų. Dažnai šalia meistriškai atliktų profesionalių dailės kūrinių jose galėdavai pamatyti menkaverčius paveikslėlius, kuklius pradedančiųjų bandymus, kiču atsiduodančius taikomosios dailės dirbinius ar kopijas. Lietuvos visuomenė nebuvo pratusi prie dailės parodų, nerodė ypatingo susidomėjimo jomis, ir tik į amžiaus pabaigą, kiek atgijus viešajam dailės gyvenimui, pradėjo aktyviau reikštis kaip dailės vartotoja. Lietuvos dailininkai visai nerodė iniciatyvos organizuoti bendrus viešus savųjų kūrinių pristatymus, neskaitant keleto autorių kuklių mėginimų surengti personalines parodas. XIX a. II pusėje parodas ėmėsi organizuoti Vilniuje apsigyvenę rusų tapytojai, o amžiaus pabaigoje parodų rengimo iniciatyvą perėmė varšuviečiai. Lietuvos dailininkai tik XX a. pradžioje suskato kurti savas dailės organizacijas ir patys būti dailės parodų šeimininkais. Straipsnyje, remiantis XIX a. periodika ir negausiais archyviniais šaltiniais, bandoma atkurti pirmųjų dailės parodų Lietuvoje įvaizdį. Surinkta medžiaga sistematizuota naudojantis chronologiniu ir analitiniu metodais, sąmoningai atsisakant istorinio ir politinio konteksto, kuris ne sykį buvo aptartas kituose leidiniuose.

ENArt exhibitions held at the Vilnius University in the early 19th Century were sometimes mentioned in art historical research, however, their continuity throughout the 19th Century was pretty vague. J. Širkaitė's article "The patronage of art in Lithuania form the 2nd half of the 19th Century to the early 20th Century" (Investigations into Lithuanian Culture, Vol. 1, Vilnius, 1995, p. 217-269) was the first to throw light on the featuring of exhibitions in the mentioned period. In her present article she makes an attempt to synthesize the picture of art exhibitions held in the 19th-century Lithuania, based on old periodical and scanty archive sources. She makes mention of the first attempts made by Professional artists to show their new works to the public as well as of the first group exhibitions presenting the works of art students at the Vilnius University, discusses the ways of displaying works of art in the mid-19th Century, highlights the role of Russian intellectuals organizing exhibitions in the 2nd half of the 19th Century and the initiatives of the Warsaw artists to jointly present the works of Polish and Lithuanian artists of the period at the end of the Century. When presenting joint exhibitions to the reader, the author indicates their aims, Initiators and Organizers, reviews the spectator's interest in art expositions, the presentation of exhibitions to the public and their critical appreciation. The article points out the unsystematic character of art exhibitions, the absence of their clear concepts, and the inertia of Lithuanian artists to present their works to the general public of Lithuania.
