Sedos gyventojai XVII-XVIII a. inventorių duomenimis

LTIš Lietuvos Didžiosios Kunigaikštystės laikų yra žinomi, deja, tik aštuoni Sedos miestelio inventoriai bei du iš pačios XVIII a. pabaigos (jų sąrašą žr. 2 lent.) ir du klebono jurisdikos gyventojų miestelyje sąrašai. Aptariami inventoriai sudaryti dvaro reikmėms tenkinti. Juose surašyta namų (dūmų) savininkų pavardės, mokesčių dydis, dirbamos žemės sklypų dydis, prievolės, kai kada profesijos ar pareigybės, miestelio nuostatai ir dar kai kurie duomenys. Kadangi straipsnio tikslas yra miestelio gyventojų pristatymas, tai veik visa, kas nesusiję su šiuo uždaviniu, bus palikta nuošalyje. Remiantis turimais inventorių duomenimis yra sudarytas visų miestelėnų pavardžių sąrašas (žydų, nepriklausiusių miestelėnų kategorijai, pavardes dėl tuo metu buvusios tėvavardinės jų sistemos pateikti labai sudėtinga) ir apskaičiuota Sedos gyventojų kaita per beveik pusantro šimto metų (žr. 1 ir 2 lent.). ENAccording to the known 10 inventories from town of Seda of 17th -18th centuries, in the article is presented the list of surnames of the Christian inhabitants (see 1st table; surnames of Jewish population are not available to follow due to their patronymic system). The article deals with the population change and its size within the town as well (see 2nd table). It is ascertained that there were particularly auspicious conditions for the trade development in the town, and this matter as well as the especial care of the town owners has been stimulating many of Jews to settle within it. They sharred about 70-80% of Seda's population in the 2nd half of the 18th century. Some other questions as concerns the population are also discussed in the article.
