ENLenkimai is a small town and Kalviai is a village nearby, where the first Lithuanian historian Simonas Daukantas was born. Inventories of 16 localities from the late 16th to the late 18th centuries have been presented in this report. A description of the development of the town and village as well as their population in the course of 200 years has been given based on these inventories and other documents. Table 1 provides the data about the dwellers. Table 2 shows how many dūmas (a dwelling house, implying a tax unit) are in the inventories, where these inventories are and, according to dūmas, the approximate amount of the population in Lenkimai is given.
