ENThe article examines the popularity of fast fashion and the harm of its footprint in the world. The topic of the article and the issues it deals with are very relevant in today's world, as this problem and its damage are increasing every year. This article aims to examine the harmful effects of fast fashion in the world, people's attitudes towards fast fashion, and the means by which fast fashion can lead to sustainable living. The article presents the results of an online survey on the importance of fast fashion and sustainability. The results of the survey revealed that fast fashion influences people to buy new clothes frequently. During the research, it turned out that more than half of the respondents update the contents of their closet every month, but do not waste unworn clothes and are inclined to sell or donate them. Also, the study confirmed that sustainability is becoming an increasingly relevant topic and people are more interested in clothing that protects and nurtures nature. bThe relevance of the topic: 85% of all textiles go to landfill every year, and the washing of some types of clothing sends thousands of pieces of plastic into the ocean (MM Johnsen, 2019). Considering the growing level of pollution, there is a growing need to stop the growth of fast fashion in order to develop consumer demand, maintain sustainability and foster sustainable consumer behaviour. Research Problem: As fashion trends gain popularity, pollution of nature and water is increasing every year. The purpose of the research: to find out what damage fast fashion causes to the business world and people and how to reduce it. Keywords: fast fashion, sustainability, pollution, innovation.
