In 2011, Lithuania entry into force of anti-domestic violence law, which means that domestic violence is regulated as a crime and violation of human rights. That is, thw public, rather than private personal affair. The actual number of violent crimes in the near environment is never exactly clear, because not all people who have experienced violence, notify and seek help. Often it is silent about. Observing the statistics it can be seen that the scale of violence in Lithuania is growing. Police Department under the Ministry of the Intertior statistics, in 2012, registered in 18 268, in 2013 - 21 615, in 2014 - already 29 339 reports of domestic violence (Police Department under the Ministry of the Interior, in 2013). There is the assumption that domestic violence prevails only soacial risk or low-income families where the husband is less educated than his wife, but violent behavior occurs in all social classes and groups. It is universal problem that manifests itself in every culture or social group, regardless of the victim and the perpetrator of education, economic status, age. Constitution of the Republic of Lithuania (1992) Article 21states the right to human integrity: prohibited to humiliate, injure, torture, cruel, degrading treatment.
