LTTyrimo tikslas buvo atskleisti skubiosios medicinos pagalbos slaugos specialistų darbe patiriamo streso ir miego sąsajas. Tyrime netikimybiniu patogiuoju atrankos būdu atrinktos trys Vakarų Lietuvos regiono skubiosios medicinos pagalbos stotys ir, naudojant puokštinį atrankos būdą, dalyvavo 81 skubiosios medicinos pagalbos specialistas. Duomenų rinkimo metodas – apklausa raštu, naudojant klausimyną darbe patiriamo streso ir miego kokybės vertinimui. Šis tyrimas padėjo atskleisti, jog skubiosios medicinos pagalbos slaugos specialistų darbe patiriamas stresas tiesiogiai koreliuoja su jų miego kokybe: kuo daugiau patiriamo streso darbe – tuo blogesnė miego kokybė. Moteriškos lyties slaugos specialistai dažniau darbe jaučia stresą, jų miego kokybė blogesnė nei vyriškos lyties slaugos specialistų. Pagrindiniai žodžiai: skubiosios medicinos pagalbos specialistai, stresas darbe, miego kokybė.

ENWork-related stress displays in psychological or psychosocial problems forms. Some of them can cause sleep disorders and as a result, people can lose working capacity for two or more weeks. All nursing specialist are under stress influence, nevertheless, the emergency nursing specialists are more prone to psychological issues because they face more stressors which pose a threat to their health. The research problems are: How does work-related stress affect the emergency nursing specialists? How does work-related stress affect the quality of sleep of the emergency nursing specialists? The object of study -The link between work-related stress and sleep of emergency nursing specialists. The purpose of study - to reveal the link between work-related stress and sleep of emergency nursing specialists. The methods of study. The analysis of scientific literature; data collection method – written survey; the analysis of data was made by using IBM SPSS Statistics 24.0; methods used – Chi-squared test; Kruskal – Wallis, Mann – Whitney tests, Pearson correlation analysis. Results. During the research the link between work-related stress and sleep of emergency nursing specialists was established. Work-related stress is directly related to the quality of sleep. The results reveal that the more stress is experienced at work, the more the quality of sleeping deteriorates. More often than not, the emergency nursing specialists feel stress, are unusually tired and irritated. One-third of nursing specialists rated their sleep quality as "poor". Conclusions. The analysis of the stress reactions by gender revealed that women nurses are under the stress at work more frequently. Stressful reactions distribution experience has shown that nurses of 6-10 years of work experience are more prone to feel stress and their mood is often depressed.Comparing the quality of sleep by nurses’ gender, it was established, that women complain about poor sleeping quality more frequently. The comparison of work experience shows, that nurses of 11-15 years of working experience are more prone to bad sleeping quality.
