LTŠių dienų Lietuvoje, smurto sąvoka girdima vis dažniau, todėl šiame straipsnyje didžiausias dėmesys skiriamas– smurtui prieš moterį šeimoje. Neretai žmonės susimąsto: kodėl taip vyksta? Kodėl moterys leidžiasi, kad taip su jomis elgtųsi? Atsakant į šiuos klausimus svarbu išskirti smurto priežastis bei pasekmes. Taip pat labai svarbūs yra nustatyti visuomenės stereotipai ir pats požiūris į smurtą prieš moterį bei patį smurtautoją. Atlikus literatūrinę analizę bei išanalizavus statistinius duomenis, išsiaiškinta jog smurtas prieš moteris apima įvairias smurtavimo formas, tokias kaip: nužudymas, (ne)sunkus sveikatos sutrikdymas, fizinė-seksualinė, psichologinė prievarta, grasinimai. Siekiant išvengti smurto atvejų šeimoje, kuriuose nukenčia moterys Lietuvos Respublikos baudžiamasis kodeksas ir Lietuvos Respublikos administracinių teisės pažeidimų kodeksas nustato teisinę atsakomybę smurtaujantiems asmenims, tačiau vis dar smurtas prieš moteris šeimoje Lietuvoje nėra kvalifikuotinas kaip atskira nusikalstama veika. ENDomestic violence in family, especially against women - in Lithuania and the world of daily life is well publicized in the media. Although this problem and ways to help the victims and families, social programs, talked a lot, but the prevailing "parochial" attitude is changing slowly. Violence against women is one of the most pressing and complicated the issues at the national and international level. Violence against women in the family are all Council of Europe member States of the problem. It is not specific to certain countries, age groups and communities. It occurs in all kinds of families and all of society. Purpose of the article - reveal the characteristics of domestic violence against women. Objectives: 1. to analyze the concept and distinguish forms of domestic violence; 2. to identify the causes and consequences of violence for a women; 3. to identify the public attitude to women experiencing violence. Applicable methods: literature and statistical data analysis. Findings: 1. Violence is the operation of an act or omission the person made an intentional physical, psychological, sexual, economic or other effects for which a person suffers physical, material or non-pecuniary damage. Violence in the family - one of the most widespread and systematic human rights violation. It's repetitive and frequent cycles of physical, verbal, spiritual, and economic insult, hoping to control, intimidate and terrorize. Domestic violence does not depend on social status, religion, sexual orientation or ethnic origin.2. Violence against women is due to: psychic factors of violence can be spontaneous expression of anger, most abusers are often abused in childhood or have been witnesses, patriarchal values, violent attacks are manifestations of masculinity demonstration, shame, conflicts are often caused by different attitudes of people, attitudes, values, stigma, poverty, alcohol and drugs, and sometimes violence against women sees a reason for her behaviour, conflicts in the family, unemployment, violent temper, and depression. 3. Violence against women in Lithuania is not classified as a separate offense, but the Republic of Lithuania and the Lithuanian Criminal Code of Administrative Violations Code provides the legal responsibility for violent individuals. Domestic violence cases are often categorized according to the type of effects (e.g., infliction of physical pain, bodily injury, etc.) caused by the offense.
