Summary / Abstract:

LTLogistika yra viena iš svarbiausių sričių, kuri daro įtaką tiek verslui, tiek šalies ekonomikai. Logistikos sektorius vis labiau auga, todėl didėja krovinių srautai, o tai daro neigiamą poveikį aplinkai. Žaliavų transportavimas, prekių gamyba, saugojimas bei vartojimas sukėlė didelių aplinkosaugos problemų, todėl vis labiau yra kalbama apie gamtos tausojimą. Logistinės įmonės, norėdamos tapti konkurencingomis bei mažinti sąnaudas, turi priimti svarbius sprendimus ir pradėti diegti žaliosios logistikos koncepciją. Raktiniai žodžiai: logistika, žalioji logistika, žaliosios logistikos taikymas, žaliosios logistikos principai.

ENAnalysing the concept of green logistics, it was revealed that in companies, green logistics is understood as a business practice that can have a positive influence on the company’s financial and performance indicators. Green logistics has not only advantages, but also disadvantages, which are not always business – friendly, as they reduce the flexibility of logistics processes. The main barriers to green logistics include: lack of information, lack of government support policies, lack of resources, implementation, and maintenance costs. For this reason, companies should plan individual ways of implementing green logistics, considering the influencing external and internal factors and the potential benefits of the activities. The results of the conducted research revealed that by implementing the principles of green logistics, “Trasis” Ltd. reduced CO2 emissions of trucks, constantly renews its fleet with trucks meeting the Euro 6 standard, and optimized routes to achieve both ecological and economic benefits. Applying the principles of green logistics in its daily activities, “Trasis” Ltd. faces a shortage of skilled workers. The company should set stricter requirements for drivers. “Trasis” Ltd. should not only use the already implemented principles of green logistics, but also constantly update them and look for opportunities of their improvement. It is reasonable to propose the company using trucks powered by organic fuel, reducing the number of “empty kilometres”, organizing training for all employees on the issues of green logistics. Keywords: logistics, green logistics, application of green logistics, principles of green logistics.
