ENThe paper deals with the poetics and the problems of modern Lithuanian dramaturgy. The greatest attention is paid to S.Parulskis dramatic works, to his play “P. S. The Case O. K.” in particular which is considered to be manifesto of the modern playwrights generation. This play marks the end of the long lasting crisis between national dramaturgy and theatre, which has been continuing since the Resurrection. The title of the play carries the initials of S. Parulskis and O. Koršunovas and it reveals a new stage of the creative colloboration of a playwright and theatre director. The paper says that the works by S. Parulskis and by other playwrights distinguish themselves by their originality i.e. drama composition, characters, dialogues, etc. The paper makes attempts to discover the links of post-modern poetics and the problems in Parulskis works with Lithuanian dramaturgy context (works by V. Juknaitė, J. Glinskis) and especially whith the absurd poetics based on J. Glinskis drama “In the Moonlight" (Mėnesienoje). This play is unique in the history of our culture: it is a dissident play demonstrating the Soviet system and homo sovieticus mentality as a perfect object of the absurdity drama. The paper says thet the reestablishment of Independence marks the posibility of the antiutopian situation created by J. Glinskis to transform into the positive drama, that of a man seeking the truth. Parulskis having the greatest experience of cooperation with theatres has never published any of his plays. The paper makes the conclusion the Parulskis writing the texts to theatre not the plays analyses the problem of the value of literature in modern dramaturgy.
