ENThe issue of deploying a partisan movement on the Belarusian-Latvian and Belarusian-Lithuanian borders was examined. It is noted that the development of anti-German resistance in 1941-1944 on the territory of the Baltic republics was largely determined by the state of partisan forces in the North of the Vitebsk and Northern West of the Vileika regions. The role of the Vitebsk "gates", the Rosson-Osveisk, Surazh, Borisov-Begoml and Ushach partisan zones in the reception, functional training and material and technical support of detachments and battle groups sent from the Soviet rear for further combat activities in Lithuania and Latvia is disclosed. The locations of the operational groups of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Latvia (b) and the Central Committee of the Communist Party (b) of Lithuania, the main areas of deployment of the Latvian and Lithuanian partisan units are designated. Examples of joint hostilities of the partisans of Belarus, Latvia and Lithuania on the enemy’s transport communications and against his garrisons are given. The material was prepared on the basis of the analysis of scientific literature and documents of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus. Keywords: task force, garrison, sabotage, kommunikatsii, punitive operation, partisan zone, partisan detachment, bridgehead, raid.
