ENMenopause is a critical stage in women's reproductive aging and health and has significant consequences. Research has shown that the various biological changes that occur during menopause increase the risk of dementia in women, as well as the risk of cardiovascular disease, changes in the skin, urinary tract, bones, blood vessels, and changes in mood and appetite. The results of the study will help to highlight the difficulties of the professional performance of nurses with menopausal symptoms and will provide ways to alleviate and overcome it. The aim of the work is to analyse the influence of the symptoms caused by menopause on the professional performance of nurses. Almost half of the nurses reported that the symptoms associated with menopause affected their professional performance. The study found that the most common physiological symptoms of menopause in nurses: palpitations and chest pressure, headaches and dizziness, hot flashes and profuse sweating, interfere with their professional activities. Some of the nurses indicated that the psychological symptoms caused by menopause, which they described as “I feel exhausted at work, I am more irritable than usual at work, and feel anxious” - affect their professional performance. The nurses said the most effective means of relieving and overcoming the symptoms caused by menopause are a walk in the fresh air, a healthy diet, exercise, and herbal supplements. A third of nurses do not agree that hormone replacement therapy relieves symptoms caused by menopause. Keywords: menopausal symptoms, nurses, professional performance.
