LTStraipsnyje nagrinėjama kaip socialinių tinklų naudojimas paveikia skirtingus tarpasmeninius santykius. Nagrinėjama tema yra aktuali, nes pastaruoju metu vis rečiau galime sutikti žmonių, kurie visiškai nesinaudoja socialiniais tinklais. Socialiniai tinklai tapo kasdienybės dalimi, juose peržiūrimos naujienas, sužinomi svarbūs įvykiai, stebimi pasaulio įvykiai. Socialiniuose tinkluose lengvai randama įvairi informacija, dalinamasi savo nuomone, pomėgiais ir sulaukiama kitų žmonių nuomonių bei atsiliepimų, palaikomi ryšiai su kitais žmonėmis, bendraujama, netgi kuriami tarpasmeniniai santykiai. ENThe article examines how the use of social networks affects various interpersonal relationships. The consideration of the topic is relevant, because nowadays we meet less people who do not use social networks at all. Social networks have become part of everyday life. They watch the news, learn about important events, and observe world events. In social networks, it is easy to find various information, share your own opinions and hobbies and get opinions and feedback from other people, maintain contacts with other people, communicate and even build interpersonal relationships. Introduction.Global Reporting Portal DataReportal 2023 Digital Space statistics show that 59.4% of the total world population is an active social media user. That is more than half of the population. Face-to-face connections are quickly lost on social media platforms as people prefer to communicate digitally rather than face-to-face. Managing content on the vastness of the Internet is much easier than communicating in person, so by nature a person chooses a path that is easier for him and does not cause much dissatisfaction. The invention of social networks led to the exchange of live communication and socialisation for digital relationships with the world, leading to a significant increase in the use of social networks and a rapid decline in communication with each other (Influence of Social Media on the Interpersonal Communication, 2022). According to official statistics, as many as 98.9 per cent of people aged 16 to 29 used the Internet every day in Lithuanian in 2022, and 93.3 per cent used the Internet several times a day. Less than once a week accounts for only 0.2 per cent of young people. The most common use of the Internet is to browse social networks (Digital Economy and Society in Lithuania, 2022). The aim of the study is to examine the influence of social networks on people's various types of interpersonal relationships.Tasks: 1. To find out the influence of using social media on interpersonal communication. 2. To examine the effects of using social networks on different types of interpersonal relationships from a theoretical point of view. 3. To determine the influence of social networks on different types of interpersonal relationships. Research methods. In order to uncover the influence of social networks on interpersonal relationships, the scientific literature on the topic under consideration was analysed, a quality study was carried out, and the data collection method interview was used. The study participants are people of different age groups who use social media platforms. The interview questions were emailed to the study participants. The findings of the study. The study found that 18-19-year-old, 21-25-year-old and 44-48 years olds all experience very similar effects of social media used on interpersonal relationships. Respondents of all ages find both positive and negative effects of using social media on interpersonal relationships and communication. Positive effects include improved interpersonal relationships between children and their parents, interpersonal relationship between parents and their children, and relationships between partners. The more complex promotion of live meetings and live communication, the emerging dependency on social networks and the emerging alienation from close ones are cited as aspects of negative impact.
