ENThis text is devoted to the problems of researchers of medieval Poland in the 14th and 15th centuries in the field of manor research. There I tried to capture all the problems, from the very definition of a manor to the problem with the scarcity of sources for manorial research showing them against the background of the study of European manors at that time. At the end, I show the direction in which research on manors in medieval Poland should go with such source material as has reached our time.
