Alberto Goštauto teismų bylos su Mikalojaus Mikalojaičio Radvilos jaunesniojo našle ir sūnumis bei Palenkės vaivada Janušu Stanislovaičiu Kostevičiu

ENThe three presented law cases from the 4th "Court Record Book" of the Lithuanian Metrica, serve as an excellent reflection of the mode of life of the Feudal society in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. The two outstanding families including their subjects were involved in a permanent quarrel often accompanied by open violence, bloodshed, and human victims. This quarrel and fight had begun long before the date of the cases, i.e. in 1525. It had been initiated by the grand fathers of Albertas Goštautas and Jonas Radvila; the mighty Jonas Goštautas and Mikalojus Radvila. The fight especially flared up in 1519, when Albertas Goštautas was appointed Voivode of Trakai. Mikalojus Mikalojaitis Radvila Jr., the then Chancellor and Voivode of Vilnius, did not approve this appoitment made by Grand Duke Žygimantas the Old, and began fighting with Albertas Goštautas. The third presented case indicates that Albertas Goštautas also went to law with another magnate, Jonušas Kostevičius.
