Searches of employees' security in Lithuania after economics crisis

ENIn Lithuania as in many other Central and Eastern European countries, an active labour law reform is in progress, when the balance between the implementation of each employees’ labour rights and employer’s interests is the object of the search. This research searches what internal and external causes are the foundation of the reform, the inluence of economical crisis to the change of labour law norms is analyzed, the rights of certain groups of employees in the new labour code and their relation with the safety of employees is discussed. As well the comparative analysis of the goals of the reform by ensuring safety of employees in the work place is completed. Possible consequences of the reform for the security of social justice in society and possible negative aspects of the application of some of the legal norms applicable in practice are analysed.
