LT2004 m. KPC užsakymu Kačerginės kapinyno teritorijoje (Kauno r., AV 282) vykdyti archeologiniai žvalgomieji tyrinėjimai [p. 281].
ENIn 2004 in the Kačerginė burial ground an area of 35 m2 was investigated. Archaeologically valuable findings were discovered only in one trench. Here a pit having 1 x 1.5 m in diameter and 1.5 m in depth was found. Half of it was filled with iron sinter and remains of a smelting furnace. No other archaeologically valuable items were found during the excavations, and this implies that the territory investigated in 1988 and 2004 was never used for burial. Artefacts mentioned in the sources must have come from another site.
