Tyrinėjimai Pilies g. 42-1

LT2005 m. vykdyti archeologiniai tyrinėjimai Vilniuje, pastato Pilies g. 42-1 patalpoje. Tyrinėjimų tikslas - ištirti kultūrinį sluoksnį naujai įrengiamo rūsio vietoje. Tirtas apie 20 m2 plotas [p. 270].

ENDuring the archaeological investigation performed in the premises located at the Pilies Str. 42-1 (Vilnius) an area of 21 m2 was investigated. The cultural layer was 3.8 m thick. The upper layer (going down to about 1-1.3 m) was dated to the 18th-19th century. The middle layer (in the depth from 1.3 m to 2 m) was dated to the second half of the 16th-17th century. The lowest layer contained no archaeological finds. Presumably it formed in the first half of the 16th century. Fragments of foundations datable to the second half of the 18th-19th century and earlier ones datable to the second half of the 16th-17th century were discovered.
