Žvalgomieji tyrinėjimai Gedimino pr. 20, 22, 24

LT2004 m. LII MTS ekspedicija atliko žvalgomuosius archeologinius tyrinėjimus, o vėliau ir archeologinius žvalgymus Vilniuje, Gedimino pr. 20, 22 bei 24 esančiuose kiemuose. Tyrinėjimų tikslas - išsiaiškinti kultūrinio sluoksnio storį ir chronologiją bei buvusį užstatymą projektuojamų statybų vietoje [p. 241].

ENIn July-December 2004 the LII MTS expedition performed archaeological tests and later the survey of the yards located at the Gedimino Str. 20, 22 and 24 (Vilnius). The survey aimed to identify thickness and chronology of the cultural layer and the previous building patterns at the planned construction site. The cultural layer of the second half of the 16th-20th century was established at the site. In the plot No. 20 a hoard of coins and banknotes of the year 1919 was found. In the plot No. 22 remains of a brick building cellar dating to the late 16th - the first half of the 17th century, shards of pottery and constructional ceramics and remains of a leather belt with a gilded silver buckle and mountings datable to the late 16th century were found.
