Žvalgomieji tyrinėjimai J. Basanavičiaus g. sklype 36

LT2004 m. LII MTS vykdė žvalgomuosius archeologinius tyrinėjimus Vilniuje, J. Basanavičiaus g. sklypo 36 (Valstybinė kelių direkcija) kieme, projektuojamo namo vietoje. Tyrimų tikslas - išsiaiškinti kultūrinio sluoksnio storį, chronologiją bei buvusį užstatymą. Tyrinėjamas sklypas yra už saugomos Vilniaus senamiesčio teritorijos ribų, todėl iki šiolei jis ir jo aplinka archeologiškai nežvalgyti [p. 240].

ENIn 2004 the LII MTS expedition performed archaeological tests and later the survey in the territory stretching westwards from the protected Vilnius old town area. The surveying works were performed at the planned building construction site and in its vicinity. 5 test pits were excavated covering the total area of 37.76 m2. Besides that, the adjacent territory of 1330.5 m2 was surveyed. 25 finds were collected: potshards and fragments of constructional ceramics datable to the late 17th (?) - the second half of the 19th century.
