Žvalgomieji tyrinėjimai Aukštaičių g. 2

LT2004 m. LII MTS ekspedicija atliko žvalgomuosius archeologinius tyrinėjimus Vilniuje, Aukštaičių g. sklype 2. Sklypas yra Vilniaus senamiesčio R dalyje, kairėje Vilnios pusėje, Aukštaičių g. S pusėje. Iš R pusės jis ribojasi su mūrine sklypo 4 tvora (gamyklos teritorija), iš S - su asfaltuota gatve. Tyrinėjimų tikslas - išsiaiškinti kultūrinio sluoksnio storį ir chronologiją bei buvusį užstatymą. Įvairiose vietose ištirti 6 bendro 24 m2 ploto šurfai, surasti 247 radiniai [p. 239].

ENThe archaeological survey was performed by the LII MTS expedition. The survey aimed to establish thickness and chronology of the cultural layer and to identify locations of the buildings which used to be situated at the site of the future construction works. 6 test pits (24 m2 in total) were excavated and 247 finds were collected. Most of them (188 pieces) were pottery shards. Besides that there were 39 pieces of constructional ceramics, 9 metal items and 4 glass items. Most of the finds were refections of the 17th-18th century material culture, which was also proved by numismatic finds. During the excavations 5 coins were collected: two copper shillings of the John Casimir emission of 1661-1666 (one of them was false), one false Riga coin of Queen Christine of Sweden, one Russian denga of 1735 and one groat coined by August III in 1755.
