ENIn 2004 the archaeological investigations at the Užupio Str. 10 / Malūnų Str. 2 in Vilnius (A 1610K1) were continued. This was the third season of investigations performed at the site. An area of 250 m2 was investigated. The early 16th-20th century cultural layer up to 2.8 m thick was established. 9 major horizons of the cultural layer were investigated. Materials of the mid 16th-17th century prevailed. Household pottery and constructional ceramics comprised the major share. We should admit a unique tile (or stove-tile) fragment (it has no analogue in Lithuania). Among the individual finds bone processing waste should be mentioned. During the investigations of 2004 brick and wooden constructions were discovered at the site. Remains of the brick buildings are datable to the early or mid 17th century and the mid 18th-19th century. Remains of the wooden structures included two cribs of wells and an unidentified construction made of planks and logs. The wooden structures are datable to the early or mid 17th century. The primary purpose of the wells and wooden structures remains unclear; nevertheless their proximity and stratigraphic identity with the well No. 2 imply that they comprised a unified complex and were used in some production process (bone or leather processing according to the finds).
