Žvalgomieji tyrinėjimai Kęstučio g. 4

LT2004 m. buvo atliekami žvalgomieji archeologiniai tyrinėjimai Kęstučio g. 4, Telšiuose, buvusios parduotuvės „Tulpė“ aplinkoje, kur numatyta šio pastato rekonstrukcija (išplėtimas). Čia ištirti 7 šurtai: šeši 2 x 2 m dydžio, vienas 1 x 4 m. Bendras tirtas plotas - 28 m2. Šių tyrinėjimų tikslas buvo išsiaiškinti, ar yra išlikę archeologiškai vertingų kultūrinio sluoksnio horizontų rekonstruojamo pastato aplinkoje [p. 206].

ENIn the centre of Telšiai city at the Kęstučio Street 4 an archaeological survey was performed. 28 m2 were investigated in total. In three test pits the 20th century street pavement, remains of the 19th-20th century buildings and the 19th-20th century cultural layer were found. In the test pit No. 5 the cultural layer horizon datable not later than to the 17th century was discovered. Some potshards found in this layer may date even to the earlier period.
