Anykščių senamiestis

LT2004 m. šešiose Anykščių senamiesčio (A 1400) vietose vykdyti žvalgomieji archeologiniai tyrimai. Jie buvo gelbėjamojo pobūdžio, atliekami įvairių žemės judinimo darbų eigoje arba ruošiantis jiems. Iš šešių tyrinėtų vietų penkiose aptiktos naujųjų laikų senamiesčio kultūrinio sluoksnio liekanos. Bendras tirtas plotas sudaro 394 m2 [p. 189].

ENIn 2004 in six sites of the old town of Anykščiai the total area of 394 m2 was investigated. In five of them remains of the cultural layer of the old town datable to the Early modern period (the second half of the 17th-18th century) were discovered. Among ceramic artefacts found during the investigations the stove-tiles should be noted. One of them was an armorial stove-tile Rola (?) bearing initials R S A P datable to the second half of the 17th-18th century. It was found at the A. Baranausko Str. 4. Two other stove-tiles found at the Biliūno Str. 1 are identical, stuck to each other during the production process. They are a piece of production waste and this implies that a stove-tile manufacture must have been located nearby.
