LT2004 m. Plungės Šv. Jono Krikštytojo bažnyčios (G 405K) šventoriuje, planuojamų takų įrengimo vietoje buvo atliekami žvalgomieji archeologiniai tyrimai [p. 183].

ENIn 2004 in the yard of the Church of St. John the Baptist the total area of 24 m2 was investigated; an unknown cemetery in the yard of the Church of Plungė datable to the late 16th-18th century and foundation of the old Church of Plungė built in 1617 m. (?) were discovered. 4 undisturbed and several disturbed graves were investigated.
