Alytaus I miesto kapinės prie bažnyčios

LT2004 m. buvo tęsiami archeologiniai tyrinėjimai Alytaus I mieste, Ramybės gatvėje, prie Šv. Liudviko bažnyčios. Tyrimai pradėti 2003 m., ištirtas 81 m2, išžvalgytas dar 105 m2 plotas, aptikti 26 kapai, datuojami XVII-XVIII a. (žr. ATL 2003 metais, V., 2005, p. 165- 168). 2004 m. buvo tyrinėjama Ramybės gatvės P dalis ir išlikęs kalvos P pakraštys. Iš viso iškastos 3 perkasos (ištirtas 157,85 m2 bendras plotas) [p. 169].

ENIn 2004 in the lsl city of Alytus during the archaeological investigation of the cemetery at the St. Ludwig Church located at the Ramybės Street an area of 157.85 m2 covering 51 graves was investigated. The graves contained 25 adult burials (17 male and 8 female) and 26 children burials, 5 of them of infants. The individuals were buried their heads orientated S or SE, whereas foot towards the church; some of them were buried in wooden coffins. In four graves burial items were found: a mounting-rivet in the grave No. 33, a sash-like ring in the burials No. 39 and 50 and a glass-bead necklace in the grave No. 40. In the disturbed layers the following items were found and inventoried: 77 wheel-made pottery shards, a glass bottle fragment, a rasp fragment, a lock bail, forged nails etc. The individuals were buried in the 17th or 18th century.
