Alternative Title:

Summary / Abstract:

LTParko g. 11 savininkės V. Malukienės sklype, kur planuojama statyti ūkinį pastatą su garažu (jame numatyta duobė remontui), 2004 m. gegužės - birželio mėnesiais JIKM atliko žvalgomuosius archeologinius tyrinėjimus. Pastatas bus 15,4 x 6,4 m dydžio. Jam kasami iki 1,2 m gylio ir 40 cm pločio pamatai. Pastato vietoje ištirtas bendras 49 m2 plotas [p. 130].

ENIn the site at Parko Street 11 the total area of 49 n m2 was investigated. Excavating a vehicle service pit, at the depth of 1-1.05 m the grave No. 1 was found. It was of about 35-40 years old female. The body was orientated NE-SW (60-240°). Around, at the depth of 0.95-1.15 m a lot of decayed iron nails and their fragments were found. The female was buried in a horizontal position, her left hand on the pelvic bones, her right hand straight. The right part of the pelvic bones was missing. On the finger there was a continuous silver ring with the hand-in-hand decoration typical to the first half of the 17th century. It remains unclear whether this was a single grave or an unknown cemetery of the late Middle Ages-Early Modern Times.
