LTSenkapis yra apie 130 m į PV nuo Karmėlavos gyvenvietės ir apie 500 m į ŠV nuo plento Kaunas-Jonava. 200 m nuo senkapio į ŠV yra veikiančios kapinės. Apie 800 m į ŠR įrengtas Karmėlavos piliakalnis [p. 128].
ENIn 2004 in the SW and NE parts of the Karmėlava cemetery an area of 210 m2 was investigated. 3 inhumations datable to the second half of the 15th-16th century were discovered. The graves No. 224 and 225 appeared to be destroyed; the grave No. 223 was found undisturbed. It contained two bronze ring-type earrings, a bronze pin with a rounded head, an iron knife with a riveted handle, an iron loop and two silver coins (denarii of Casimir Jagellonian).
