Pakapių senkapis

LT2004 m. žvalgomųjų archeologinių tyrimų tikslas buvo patikrinti, ar nustatytoje šio senkapio teritorijoje dar yra išlikę kapų ar kitokių šio objekto archeologinės vertės požymių. KPC užsakymu 2004 m. žvalgomųjų archeologinių tyrimų metu Pakapių senkapio teritorijoje buvo ištirtos trys (visos 5 m ilgio ir 2 m pločio) žvalgomosios perkasos [p. 126].

ENln 2004 during the archaeological survey of the Pakapiai cemetery three surveying trenches were investigated (all of them 5 x 2 m; 30 m2 investigated in total). On the basis of the archaeological finds collected (a flat moulded bronze fibula, a key and a sleigh-bell) the surviving part of the cemetery should be dated to the 13th-15th century. In fact almost all of the cemetery has been destroyed; only its very northern part has survived.
