Staviškių pilkapynas

LT2003 ir 2004 m. buvo pratęsti Staviškių pilkapyno (Vilniaus m.) tyrinėjimai. 1998, 1999 ir 2002 m. archeologinių tyrinėj imų metu surasti trys pilkapiai, du iš jų ištirti. Taip pat rastos II—IV a. gyvenvietės žalvario lydimo dirbtuvių liekanos (žr. ATL 1998 ir 1999 melais, V., 2000, p. 168-170; ATL 2002 metais, V., 2005, p. 62). Pilkapiai vizualiai iš aplinkos neišsiskiria. Jų sampilai sulyginti Neries potvynių metu. 2003 ir 2004 m. Staviškėse ištirtas 254,5 m2 plotas [p. 76].

ENIn 2003-2004 in the Staviškės barrow cemetery (Vilnius City) the barrow No. 3 was excavated; 254.5 m2 in total. Tire barrow was 6-7 m in diameter; it had a ditch and a pit. Two cremations were found in the ditch and the pit. The first cremation contained a small knife, tiny fragments of a bronze strap and a potsherd. The second cremation contained an awl. There were more loose finds in the ditch: a bracelet fragment and an awl. Most probably, they came form the third burial. At the bottom of the pit there were a bracelet, a bead and two spindles. They should be attributed to offerings. The barrow is datable to the 8th-10th century. Besides that, 8 test trenches were excavated. Two new barrow sites and one pit also attributable to a barrow were found.
